Turkish Towels
Flat-woven peshtemals and Turkish cotton terry are not the same product. Which to buy, and why the first month feels wrong.

Cotton, stone, memory foam and microfiber compared on the only measure that matters: whether the mat dries before it is used again.

We sell no towels
Most pages ranking for towel care belong to laundry services or towel brands. We have no linens of our own to push you toward.
We make no testing claims
There is no lab here and we never pretend otherwise. Every verdict comes from published specifications and what they predict over years of washing.
Every spec traces to a source
GSM, staple length, dimensions and certifications are linked to where they were published. Where a brand does not publish a figure, we say so.
No scores, no star ratings
We do not score products out of ten, because a score implies a measurement we did not make. You get the spec and a plain verdict instead.

Bath Towels
Towel GSM, Explained Properly Enough to Shop With
GSM from 300 to 1000, what each band feels like, how long each takes to dry, and the weight that is right for your bathroom.
Towel Care
The Hotel Laundry Method, Adapted for a Home Machine
The commercial routine that keeps lodge linens working for a decade, translated into settings a domestic machine can actually do.
Bath Towels
The Longest-Lasting Bath Towels You Can Buy
The buy-it-for-life list. Long-staple fiber, short loops, reinforced hems -- the five towels built to outlive the bathroom they are in.
Towel Care
How to Strip Towels: The Full Method
The exact strip recipe, what the discolored water is, how often to do it, and when stripping will not help.

How this is funded
Reader-funded, and specific about it
Terry & Tub earns a commission on some links to Amazon, at no extra cost to you. Products from brands we have no arrangement with are included anyway when they are the right answer, and every page says which is which. No price is ever quoted here -- you see the retailer's own price, on their site, the moment you click.
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Terry & Tub is published by Janet Media Group.
